Aims of the Network

The Network aims to respond to the needs of women in developing countries by supporting their projects and by being a meeting place where requests for funds can find offers for project financing from governments, organizations or individual donors.

But not only that. The Network was conceived as a means to bring together women working for development in their communities in order to promote reciprocal collaboration through meetings, events and information sharing.

This Web Site aims to be the platform for connecting human, creative and financial resources, for exchangeing of information, best practices and experiences in order to create a permanent network of people united to promote development women in the world.

No one can understand the nature of her needs and identify solutions to her problems as well as a woman who, on a daily basis, must provide meals and shelter for her children, send them to school, provide them with basic health care, and respond to a multitude of other needs, all in a context of deprivation, even extreme poverty.

Therefore, a project conceived and designed by a woman is more often credible, concrete and feasible, thus meriting investment. Women in developing countries are well aware that only by uniting their ideas, work and determination in a common effort will they be able to have the strength and energy required to make significant inroads in the struggle against poverty and to guarantee a better future for themselves, their children and their communities.
